TECHNICAL SPECS


SPACE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 20' wide by 23' deep by 14'6" to the grid, open and unobstructed space
  • Black masking for wings and background
  • The floor should be painted black, smooth with no holes or hardware
  • Uninterrupted access to theater for load-in, set up, technical rehearsals, 48 hours before the scheduled performance and maximum 4 hours for strike (First day: load-in and set up. Actor day off. Second day: technical rehearsal, evening performance
  • Secure storage for set, props and costumes
LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS

  • Light plot should be pre-hung with all gels and all equipment working before our arrival according to the enclosed light plot and lighting paper work. Any all changes must be pre-approved by BrowneBarnes Productions technical staff.
  • Computerized Light Board with ability to Œauto-follow¹, build blinking effects and run two cues at the same time.
  • Inventory
    • 25 - 6 x 9
    • 1 - 6 x 12 with iris
    • 10 - Mini-10
    • 5 - US to appropriate European style plug adaptors
    • 4 - 11v -220v tramsformers
    • 1 haze type fog machine
    • 2 - 10 foot -0 x 1 1/4 inch steel pipe (to be hung with 5 lights each)
    • 48 Dimmers (60 Preferred)
    • Practicals - Company will be bringing many practicles including ŒA¹ type lamps and fluorescent fixtures.
SOUND REQUIREMENTS

  • Two (2) Auto cue CD players (no walkmans, portables or boom boxes)
  • One (1) stereo mixing console 8 channel input with EQ
  • Minimum of two (2) full-range speakers capable of handling 250 W/8 OHMS each hung stage left and right as per ground plan
  • Two (2) sub-woofers with matching power amp
  • Stereo power amps to power all speakers, minimum 250 W per side
  • Headsets Requirements
  • Four (4) CLEAR COM, TELEX dual channel access or comparable quality headset communications system with like specifications for stage manager in front of house booth to sound and light operators and back stage assistant.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Dressing Area
  • Uninterrupted access to two (2) securable, carpeted, heat and air-conditioned private dressing areas each with minimum three (3) chairs and table with mirror, a bathroom with toilet and hot and cold running water (or be adjacent to one) at least three (3) hours before the scheduled performance. Dressing area must be in the same building as the performance with access to backstage.

  • Two (2) electricians capable of implementing our light plot for set-up and focus
  • Four (4) deck hands for load in, set-up, and strike
  • One (1) experienced sound board operator familiar with the house system and capable to troubleshoot all sound needs during technical rehearsals and performances.
  • One (1) experienced light board operator familiar with the house system and qualified to troubleshoot all sound needs during technical rehearsals and performances.
  • Stage Manager Assistant responsible for setting stage props before show
  • Wardrobe Assistant responsible for setting costume props before show
TECHNICAL REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
  • Technical rehearsal schedules will be drafted and agreed upon by COMPANY technical staff and PRESENTER, PRESENTER¹S technical director and production manager 2 (two) weeks in advance of arrival and will require a minimum of six (6) hours each day and a maximum of ten (10) hours each day with regularly scheduled breaks for lunch and dinner as appropriate.
