Little Cocoons for the South Bronx is an installment of Cocoon, my ongoing worldwide public sculpture project. 150 students from Lou Gehrig/IS 151 participated–collecting materials found on the ground at the nearby Jackson and Melrose Projects, creating miniature cocoons and recording their wishes for display as a multi-media sound installation. Eric Etheridge’s portraits of the students will also be on view.
